The last startup that I worked at gave me a lot of travel opportunities, which was the first time that I actually noticed the vast diversity we have in Indian food culture and was totally amazed! Dishes from the north and specialties of the south, dishes that spanned across generations, and some that were purely traditional; I decided that I wanted to bring all of them together under one roof.
That is how the Khanabadosh idea was born! The excitement of introducing urban households to traditional Indian dishes and the passion to establish a food brand using all that knowledge led to Khanabadosh being what it is today.
We are very particular about each and every dish on our menu and undertake extensive research before introducing them. Many a time, we actually travel to different parts of the country to get a first hand experience of the cuisine. We inculcate the original traditional processes into cooking these dishes, using local ingredients which we try to source.
Khanabadosh can be termed as a new age kitchen that has distinguished itself from modern cooking techniques and taken a more traditional route, making it a class apart.
